Job Description

    Be part of Global production support team supporting health and compliance of all Unix servers globallySupport Unix system administration tasks, including change management, handling Incidents (Sev1 / Sev2), Ensuring critical issues are attended in a timely manner and ensuring management visibility in such cases.Become part of and drive global platform level changes. Work with Clients / Engineering teams to ensure a successful change.Will be responsible for prioritizing tasks, projects, managing SLAs, client relationshipsContribute in Root Cause Analysis, Operational Reports etc.Basic Qualifications:Relevant Experience in managing Linux & Solaris Operating Systems with 6+ years of experience, Fluency in scripting languages like BASH, PYTHON OR PERL, In-depth knowledge of UNIX technologies, support and process lifecycles in enterprise systems: Linux, Solaris e.g. mechanics of kernels, process lifecycles, DNS, NIS, LDAP, Autofs, NFS, AFS, TCP/IP, jumpstart, kickstart.Experience with virtualization technologies.Preferred Qualifications:Dtrace/Systemtap experience.Broad knowledge of high-performance, highly-available computing environments and integration of technical products into complex environments.Creativity/Innovation - Looks for new ways to improve current processes and develop creative solutions that are grounded in reality and have practical value .,
