Job Description

Overview The UI Developer owns the conversion process of business requirements and design comps into functional user interfaces. The UI Developers we look for are experts with front-end development technologies but also have an eye for design and have an understanding of UX. This position bridges the gap between designers and back-end developers - you must be able to think like a designer and a developer. As part of your role as a UI Developer, it is expected that you re capable of adding rich elements to your implementations such as micro interactions, transitions and animations. As a member of the TTP UX team you will be involved with designing and developing interfaces for cutting edge tax applications. The selected candidate will have most of the qualities we are looking for, in addition to being outspoken in a team environment, having strong communication skills, and being able to work independently. Responsibilities:

  • Implement approved UI designs in collaboration with backend development team
  • As part of UI implementation, incorporate micro interactions, animations and transitions to enhance application feel and richness
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and contribute to design decisions
  • Owner of the technical decisions on UI development
  • A creative, lateral thinker who can identify issues and articulate solutions
  • Able to produce results in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects

Qualifications:

  • Ablility to think like a designer and a developer - creative and technical
  • Mastery of converting visual design comps into fully functional web applications
  • Experience creating custom controls from scratch
  • Highly proficient with branding third party controls
  • Mastery of HTML5 and semantic HTML
  • Solid experience with CSS/SASS/LESS
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Knowledge of REST-Based APIs
  • Accessibility must be part of your coding foundation
Responsibilities:
  • Own user experience design and user interface design for assigned projects
  • Interface with business stakeholders to understand business needs and how they are best translated into full-scale applications and features
  • Interview users and stakeholders to better understand needs/desires and conduct usability tests
  • Create personas, task analysis matrices, journey maps, wireframes and high-resolution mockups
  • Acts as an advocate for user experience design and communicates vision to project teams
  • Collaborates with development and owns the delivery of designs
  • Contributes to design language documentation
  • Identifies areas for design improvement based on latest and upcoming design industry trends
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience designing intuitive, engaging, easy-to-use, visually appealing websites or applications
  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited design college/university or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience with client facing product design, development, and delivery
  • Highly proficient with: Sketch, InVision, whiteboarding (HTML and CSS are a big bonus)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate design direction
