Meet w/ planners and understand planning documents to fully comprehend the projected customer segments, usage models and differentiating business use cases (revenue, TAM etc.). Challenge assumptions where required. Author the Validation Strategy for a given platform. Val Strategy includes Component Level, System Level and KPI level validation plans, prioritized by applicability to use cases. Guide the development of meaningful test content by the component and platform validation engineers - and supporting requirements. Take full responsibility for the quality of test content/coverage and its goodness. Provide a one-voice (to management, key stakeholders) for Validation status of entire platform (component, platform, KPIs). Work with Design and Development Leads / Architects in ensuring adequate coverage of test plans. Take full responsibility for Escapes (QE) - Continuously Review Escapes and drive improvements to quality of test content. Monitor Bronze, Silver, and Gold execution results and timelines; and work with Val team to drive systemic improvements as needed into that platform. Be the owner of the adoption of the Shift-Left Validation Methodology in the program. Help guide prioritization of Test Content for weekly execution cycles. Drive Automation Development and Deployment. Reviews test content against Testability and Automation fitment.QualificationsAt least 15 yrs+ experience in Software, and System Validation areas (hands-on expertise), Very passionate about Validation and demonstrates a growth mindset. Must have proven experience developing test content (with a goal of finding defects). Must be thorough in Intel Architecture or VPU / ARM Architecture and evolution of technological components (e.g. IO, PCH, Security, GPU, CPU) at least through 2 previous and 2 upcoming generations. Must be an expert in one of the Operating Systems (Linux or Windows or Android). Must have proven debug skills in specific components or at a system level. Must have a solid understanding of IA/VPU IOTG customer use cases. Strong Coding / Automation Skills - C, Python, Bash Scripts, SSH. Excellent stakeholder management skills, shows personal accountability to progress. Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills.
