Job Description

Data Analyst (Band 2)Job Objective:We are looking for an individual who is passionate about data and excellent at problem solving to join our Data Science team in Cigna International Health Data & Analytics. Our Data Science team develops and implements state-of-the-art classification and predictive models in addition to a wide array of other data and analytical works such as program evaluations, claims deep dive analysis, and data cleaning to solve problems related to global and local healthcare. Key healthcare domains include but are not limited to sales and marketing, client, clinical services, network, and payment integrity. This role presents an opportunity to combine technical aptitude with a consultative approach to develop and implement healthcare data analytics products that create value.Job Responsibilities:

  • Institutionalize end-to-end data analytics development and implementation cycle to ultimately create values to the businesses
  • Work with Heads of Data and Analytics and Product Owners to understand business problems and formulate the most appropriate data analytics approach
  • Formulate and produce descriptive analytics
  • Assist in implementing predictive / prescriptive analytics
  • Track the value created by each analytics implemented
  • Work with Data Engineering and Cloud Engineering to keep abreast of data ingestion and data enrichment including first and third party data
  • Work with Data Management and Governance to ensure full compliance of data protection and artificial intelligence ethics
Requirements:
  • Tertiary education in Data Science, Statistics, Actuary, Mathematics, Computer Science, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics
  • Knowledge in descriptive data analytics and program evaluations
  • Knowledge in International Classification of Diseases (ICD)
  • Knowledge and experience in Python
  • Knowledge and experience in SQL and NoSQL
  • Experience in Cloud computing; preferably Amazon Web Services, Sagemaker, Athena, etc.
  • Strong communication skill in English; additional languages an advantage
