Job Description

About the role

  • Essay the role of an Data architect for platforms, pipelines and analytical solutions. Provide design decisions on developing, integrating and managing data products.
  • Align technology choices and design decisions with the wider IT organisation (e.g. Enterprise Architecture, Digital Governance).
  • Be a catalyst leader and line manager for your data engineers and architects. Guide them with your tech & data expertise and help them improve their skills.
  • Co-lead your squad (existing of internal and external engineers) with the Product Owner and Scrum Master fostering an agile spirit.
  • Work hands-on in your squad and collaborate closely with group data services organization to ensure best practices.
  • Peer-review and contribute as a digital governance advisor overseeing other solutions and architecture ensuring we keep our technical work top-quality and secure our data assets.

  • A university degree in computer science, data science, data engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
  • 15 years of experience in designing and implementing technical solutions in data management platforms, analytical solutions and developing data models.
  • Deep knowledge in selecting, ingesting and integrating multiple data sources to data platforms/ solutions as well as coordinating the engineering of such solutions.
  • A passion for leading people with your interpersonal skills, through listening, inspiring, encouraging as well as giving/receiving feedback.
  • Broad experience in building secure data pipelines, API management and development.
  • Detailed real-world experience with Scrum or similar agile methodologies.
  • Outstanding communication skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Experience with Palantir and Azure platforms is a plus.
