Job Description

: Engineering Analyst, Video and Image Experiences Trust StrategyLocations:Bengaluru, Karnataka, India; Gurugram, Haryana, IndiaAbout the JobTrust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.As a Trust and Safety, Engineering Analyst, you will be driving initiatives that protect Google Video, Image, and User-generated content experiences from misinformation, abuse, and harmful content. At Google, we work hard to earn our users trust every day. Trust & Safety is Googles team of abuse-fighting and user trust experts working daily to make the internet a safer place. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam, and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Googles products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
2 years of experience managing projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C .
2 years of experience with machine learning systems.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Lead projects building critical trust protections for Google Video and Image, used globally, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop safety solutions.
Perform data analyses to identify and address product vulnerabilities, continuously improving systems against evolving abuse. Embrace LLMs to enhance abuse and misinformation fighting ability.
Review trust issues specific to images, videos, and creator content surfaces, providing insights and data-driven analysis to inform decision-making for the product.
Use technical judgment to drive project delivery, continuously refine our enforcement workflows, leveraging automation including LLMs and your problem-solving skills to streamline processes and maximize efficiency.
Be prepared to review and assess content that may be controversial, offensive, or sensitive, demonstrating resilience and sound judgment. You might need to perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis including weekends as needed.
