Job Description

Job Title: eCommerce Business AnalystLocation: Bangalore, IndiaPosted on: January 23, 2025ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESAs an eCommerce Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions in the realm of eCommerce. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, define business processes, and contribute to the successful implementation of eCommerce projects. Your insights and recommendations will guide decision-making and contribute to the enhancement of the overall eCommerce strategy.Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering:
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit and document detailed business requirements for eCommerce projects.
    • Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand user needs and expectations.
  • Business Process Analysis:
    • Analyze existing business processes related to eCommerce and identify areas for improvement.
    • Propose and document optimized workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and user experience.
  • System Integration:
    • Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into system specifications.
    • Collaborate on the integration of eCommerce platforms with other business systems and third-party applications.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze data related to eCommerce performance, customer behavior, and sales trends.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
    • Develop and execute test plans for eCommerce solutions, ensuring that they meet business requirements.
    • Coordinate UAT efforts with business users and development teams.
  • Documentation:
    • Create comprehensive and clear documentation for business requirements, functional specifications, and processes.
    • Maintain up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and development teams.
    • Provide regular updates on project status, address concerns, and manage expectations.
  • E-commerce Trends and Best Practices:
    • Stay informed about the latest eCommerce trends, technologies, and best practices.
    • Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance the eCommerce platform.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on eCommerce projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, such as Shopify, Magento, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of SEO and online marketing principles.
  • Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles.
