Job Description

About the role:As an IT Financial Close Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of the financial results for the Swiss Re Group. In managing the operational delivery of the IT process steps, you will work closely with other Finance InfoTech teams, Finance and Actuarial counterparts, and external auditors to achieve successful financial closes for both local and group valuations.   • Manage the operational execution of the IT financial close production: cashflow production, SAP subledger & general ledger processing as well as consolidation of Group results under IFRS
  • Provide deputization and surge support for managing the operational execution of the IT financial subledger cashflow production, financial valuation & booking creation.
  • Planning & improvement of financial close process in collaboration with Finance counterparts
Main Tasks/Activities:
  • Working in the closing team and managing the day-to-day operations for the production.
  • Manages the dependencies between IT process and triggers the multiple teams to schedule their IT processes.
  • Agrees and plans maintenance windows.
  • Agrees and plans freeze periods.
  • Prepare and maintain complex plans, identifies efficiency and other improvement opportunities.
  • Provide a summary report on the status of the execution and progress.
  • Gain commitment to plans by circulating them to stakeholders and following up by presenting and explaining tasks, dependencies, and timelines.
About the team:The Financial Close Management CoE is accountable for the successful delivery of IT services to produce the financial close for SwissRe.   • Strong understanding of IT operations and financial processes, a minimum of 7 years experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-bound environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: ability to break down complexity & dependencies for varied stakeholder groups, efficient status reporting & mediation skill to take decisions under uncertainty.
  • Experienced in project management practices, proficiency in using planning and documentation tools.
  • Experienced in operating large and complex application landscapes.
  • Trusted partner who encourages cross-functional and cross-organizational collaboration and proactive engagement with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work well under stress, solution orientation across organizational boundaries and hierarchies.
