Job Description

About the Team:The Life & Health Operational Excellence & Analytics team is a global team consisting of three focus areas of End-to-End Operating Platform, Data Analytics, and Data Governance and Reporting. The team comprises approximately 20 colleagues across 6 Swiss Re office locations spread across Americas, EMEA, and Asia. The team is responsible for owning the Life & Health end-to-end system landscape, central analytics services, and data governance and reporting, to ensure that timely, accurate, and consistent data is delivered to the business, steer and anticipate the business analytic needs, to drive continuous improvement, and to implement projects and processes that enable the business to embrace innovative new technology systems and tools.Given the global reach and diversity of the team, each member needs to be able to interact in an international team setting as well as be an ambassador in their location to support regional business users.About the Role:We are looking for a highly motivated individual seeking to work on governance topics related to data in an agile team setting.

  • Support the implementation of required Group data governance standards within L&H globally.
  • Develop and implement L&H Re data governance framework and related projects.
  • Identify development areas of data governance framework.
  • Build and maintain documentation around L&H data governance framework.
  • Support on a variety of topics such as Compliance, Access Management, Cross border data transfers, and Data classification.
  • Embed data governance principles e2e and administer data quality monitoring.
  • Collaborate with IT, business partners, and other data governance colleagues to achieve a unified approach to improving data maturity and quality across L&H globally.
About You:
  • Background in data-related roles and/or in governance-related projects preferred.
  • Eager to develop and drive governance initiatives with the willingness to learn, openness and flexibility to take on new tasks and challenges - can do demeanour.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to navigate ambiguity with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Highly motivated with an ability to appropriately handle own time and priorities in a multi-functional collaborative environment.
  • Dedicated and able to work independently as well as with global teams.
  • Experience in project management and process improvements a plus.
