Job Description

Your Job

  • Manage New Product Design & Development team and Sustenance team to meet the set targets.
Our Team
  • Part of the Power and Signal business unit under CCS Division, specializing in the design and development of Wire to wire and Wire to Board connectors.
  • Focus on Lower Power and Signal connectors and collaborate closely with all stakeholders for project execution and routine production in Manufacturing plants.
What You Will Do
  • Responsible for New development/support of released new products, transferred products, introduction of new products and support the PSBU vision.
  • Responsible to coordinate with plants (sending & receiving) in case of Design & Manufacturing transfer and understand the product details, Testing procedures & qualification procedures. Implement all set testing and verification methodology and approve the product accordingly.
  • Monitor and achieve NPD, TSP and SPO, QCD targets (whichever is applicable).
  • Visit customers/Molex manufacturing plants to understand their needs to help support any technical issues as required.
  • Drive for continuous improvement in all areas.
  • Goal deployment & performance appraisals for the team members.
  • Document and report on design processes and outcomes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Good knowledge on connector design, development, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong Leadership ability.
  • Excellent People Management and development skills (Guiding, Mentoring & Development Focused).
  • Knowledge on materials properties and selection criteria for product components, considering performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Good knowledge on DFMEA, DFM, GD&T, Tolerance analysis etc.
  • Flexible and adaptable to organizational needs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Previous hands-on experience in Product Design and Development along with Team Management.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in product design, added advantage if worked on connector Design & Development.
