Member of Technical Staff- [ Python/Golang, Tools development, Kubernetes ]EngineeringBangalore, IndiaReq.Num.: 28190Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.The OpportunityThis role is a crucial role for maintaining the edge of the Nutanix Distributed Storage Fabric (NDSF) - a high-performance shared-nothing distributed file system. This storage stack is the foundational piece to enable hyper-convergence and hybrid cloud solutions. The software-defined storage helps us power infrastructure for all kinds of applications on all kinds of platforms. That coupled with a simplicity focused design makes the engineering problem both profound and rewarding. The engineer will take responsibility for end to end quality and work with a team, with a deep understanding of systems internals and distributed systems.About the TeamThe CDP team was the first team created at Nutanix. It is the team responsible for the Nutanix Distributed Storage Fabric (NDSF) - a high-performance shared-nothing distributed file system.We are looking for a tools engineer with 5-7 years of experience. Tooling needed for UT frameworks, troubleshooting, debug tools etc in operating system, filesystem. If you have passion for tooling, tweaks/system hacks it would be a great fit. OS internals/systems understanding is a big plus.Teams primary technology stack: Python (Proficiency), Go, C , JavaYour Role

  • Design and develop reliable, efficient tooling for debugging, UT frameworks that enhance developer productivity.
  • Develop an understanding of distributed systems and design innovative solutions.
  • Work alongside development, support and test teams to deliver high-impact tools in a fast-paced environment.
  • Engage with consumers and support when needed to solve production issues.
What You Will Bring
  • Completion of a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field is required.
  • Familiarity with OS internals and good practices for design/implementation.
  • Hungry and humble attitude with a keen sense of working as part of a dynamic team.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Python/Golang (Preferred) or Java/C(optional)
How we work:This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence.
