Job Description

Member of Technical Staff - [ Python Web app development/ Go/Kubernetes]Location: Engineering, Bangalore, IndiaReq. Num.: 27941Hungry, Humble, Honest, with a Heart.The Opportunity:Nutanix Developer productivity team (ENG department) is looking for a Member of Technical Staff - 4 position, who could join and be a part of our dynamic and growing team. Working closely with developers and operations teams, you will be instrumental in delivering rock solid Engineering services. As a Senior Member in the team, you will be involved in end-to-end development activities and you need to mentor junior members in team likes of training, code reviews etc. You will also need to be involved in operations aspects like CI/CD and maintaining the services developed.Your Role:

  • Understand business goals and translate those into an appropriate technical solution
  • Develop scalable cloud microservices with Kubernetes or equivalent technology
  • Able to demonstrate building well-architected REST APIs using one of the major server frameworks (node.js, Django) or equivalent technology
  • Get involved at a hands-on level designing and writing code
  • Diagnose functional issues and take ownership of issue resolution
  • Ensure high availability and provide application support to enable 24x7 monitoring
  • Guide junior engineers in the team
  • Build and run large scale, distributed, highly-available and fault-tolerant applications in a SaaS environment
What youll bring:
  • Bachelors and/or masters in computer science OR related field of study
  • Strong hands-on experience in the development of a cloud-based multi-tenant SaaS products
  • Experience with building and running large scale, distributed, highly-available and fault-tolerant applications in a SaaS environment
  • 4 years experience with full stack development of Cloud/SaaS Applications
  • Experience in full stack development with Node.js/Go/Python, with front-end frameworks (Preferably React.js)
  • Experience with developing cloud-computing environments like Amazon EC2, Azure, GCP
  • Hands-on experience with in-memory, relational and NoSQL databases
  • Understanding of application security, web applications as well as microservices is a plus
