National Collection Manager- Field SME Loans

KreditBee is Indias largest fintech lending platform with a current monthly disbursement of over 2200 Crores. It has 70 Million downloads on Google Play Store and over 85 Lakh unique loan customers. It offers various financial services digitally including but not limited to Personal Loans, Business Loans, Loan against property (LAP), DigiGold investment, Insurance, Credit Score Report, and Expense Tracker. The group entity has an in-house RBI registered NBFC and is currently Series-D funded with marquee investors like Premji Invest, Advent International, Motilal Oswal Private Equity, MUFG and TPG-backed NewQuest, among others.We are seeking an experienced leader to drive field collection operations for our unsecured loans portfolio. As the Field Collections Head, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining portfolio health, minimizing credit risks, and achieving organizational goals. This high-impact position offers the opportunity to lead a nationwide team, innovate recovery strategies, and contribute to the growth of a leading NBFC.Key Responsibilities:

1. Field Collection Strategy and Execution:
   • Develop and implement comprehensive field collection strategies tailored to our unsecured loans portfolio, minimizing delinquencies and write-offs.
   • Analyse portfolio trends to pre-empt high-risk accounts and prioritize recovery actions.
   • Leverage data analytics and digital tools to enhance field collection efficiency and decision-making.
2. Team Leadership and Management:
   • Lead, manage, mentor and guide the hierarchy of field collection managers and field agents across multiple regions.
   • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and ethical conduct among the field collection team.
3. Liaison with Vendors and External Agencies:
   • Engage and manage external collection agencies and vendors to supplement in-house field efforts, and monitor performance against agreed service levels.
   • Liaison with advocates and law enforcement authorities across cities for swift execution of legal actions.
4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
   • Track and analyse collection performance metrics, including resolution rates, recoveries, turnaround time and cost-effectiveness of collection operations.
   • Prepare and present regular reports on field collection activities, trends, and outcomes to senior management.
5. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
   • Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements in collection processes, including RBI and NBFC guidelines.
   • Maintain detailed documentation of recovery activities for audit and compliance purposes.
6. Cross Functional Collaboration:
   • Coordinate with senior stakeholders across operations, risk, and technology to ensure seamless integration of field strategies with company objectives.
   • Provide insights from field operations to refine credit policies and underwriting standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Bachelors degree in any discipline; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience: 10-20 years of experience in field collections, preferably in unsecured business loans or retail loans segment, with minimum 5 years at a zonal manager or similar senior level.
• Familiarity with NBFC or financial services industry regulations and statutory guidelines.
• Strong understanding of unsecured lending products and customer behavior in the segment.
• Deep understanding of legal collection processes including arbitration, Section 138 cases, and court systems in India.
• Proven track record of managing large field teams and achieving aggressive collection targets.
