This includes creating and maintaining comprehensive product information, technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to assist in the sales process. The Product Manager acts as a subject matter expert, leveraging their deep technical knowledge to enable the sales team and support customers throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring the successful promotion and service of Mors Smitt products.ResponsibilitiesEssential:

• The product manager must possess deep expertise in electromechanical relays and their applications within the power utility segment. They are expected to collaborate closely with the engineering and product development teams, providing valuable feedback and recommendations to drive continuous product improvements.
• A critical aspect of this role is to provide technical support on electromechanical relay applications in power distribution networks to the sales team and customers. This includes addressing any product-related issues and ensuring customer satisfaction. The product manager is also responsible for reviewing the technical specifications of tenders before submitting the commercial and technical proposals.
• Developing, updating, and maintaining a comprehensive suite of technical documentation, such as technical bulletins, user guides, application guides, and other support materials, is a key responsibility. Staying informed about product updates, new features, and potential issues by collaborating with the product development and engineering teams is also essential.
• Additionally, the product manager is tasked with identifying and reporting on recurring product issues, working closely with the engineering and quality assurance teams to find solutions and improve the overall customer experience. They are also responsible for updating the website with information on product obsolescence and alternative offerings.

• Assist in product training sessions, workshops, and webinars for the sales team and customers, ensuring comprehensive understanding and optimal use of Mors Smitt products.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to provide valuable insights for product development and sales strategies.
• Create engaging and informative PowerPoint presentations to assist the sales team in product promotion and customer training.
• Monitor and analyze customer feedback and implement improvements to support materials and training content accordingly.
• Support the sales department to update the price list every year.

Minimum Qualifications / Professional Experience

• Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 15 years overall experience, which includes 5 years of experience in a technical support or application engineering role, preferably in a sales-driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Experience with creating technical documentation and training materials, including user guides, application guides, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Knowledge of Mors Smitt products or similar technologies is a plus (Auxiliary Relays, test blocks and their applications).
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, training sessions, or conferences.

Competencies Professional / Personal

• Minimum 5 years experience with protection & auxiliary relays, test blocks, and industrial control products.
• Experience in reviewing specific customer requests and proposing solutions.
• Knowledge of Electromechanical relays working principles and application.
• Good understanding of global relay standards IEC 60255-1, IEC 60255-26, IEC 61810-1.
• Knowledge of protection schemes for the utility segment. Familiar with earth fault protection applications.
• Knowledge of Protection Relay ANSI codes: ANSI 50/51 - Phase Overcurrent protection, ANSI 50N/51N - Earth fault protection.
• Should be able to interpret customer requirements and convert them into solutions by configuring the available products.
