Senior Member of Technical Staff EngineeringLocation: Bangalore, IndiaReq.Num.: 27905Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Senior User Experience Engineer (UXE) to lead the development of innovative User Experiences across our product portfolio and play a pivotal role in our growing UX/UI team. You have a sharp attention to detail, the ability to bridge the gap between UX design and engineering, and a deep understanding of how design and technology intersect. As a Senior UXE, you will mentor other UXEs, drive complex projects, and collaborate closely with product designers, researchers, and engineers to craft and refine cutting-edge user experiences.About the TeamJoining the UX Design team at Nutanix means becoming part of a diverse and collaborative group spread across locations in India, the US, and Germany. With a strong emphasis on fostering a good team culture and promoting innovation, the team at Nutanix is known for its supportive and inclusive environment where team members are encouraged to share ideas and work together towards common goals.You will report to the Sr UX Design manager, who will provide mentorship and guidance as you contribute to various projects within the team. The work setup at Nutanix is a hybrid model, requiring employees to be in the office 23 days a week. This allows for a balance between in-person collaboration and remote work flexibility, ensuring a dynamic and efficient working environment.Your Role

• Lead Prototyping: Create rapid prototypes, from micro-interactions to fully functional workflows, with multiple variations and customizations. Work with research to develop prototypes for proof of concepts, and rapidly iterate based on customer feedback to deliver delightful experiences.
• Design System & Accessibility: Support the React component UI team in the creation and maintenance of components aligned with the Design System. Educate engineering teams on best practices for using the Design System, ensuring optimal consumption and improved accessibility across the UI.
• Collaboration & Optimization: Work closely with UX and Graphic Designers to ensure proper usage of Nutanixs Design System, and analyze sketches and wireframes during the pre-prototype phase to guide designers and optimize deliverables upstream. Being the liaison between design and engineering teams, participating in fit and finish reviews to guarantee smooth communication and understanding of requirements, ensuring intuitive, high-quality interfaces in final products and services.
• Infrastructure & Documentation: Build and maintain platforms to showcase prototypes internally (for designers & engineers) and externally (for customers). Develop tools and infrastructure to streamline the prototyping process and write comprehensive documentation for their usage.
• Technical Expertise: Use your technical skills to assist engineers in implementing design concepts efficiently, ensuring seamless integration into our products.
• Innovation & Standards: Serve as a key voice in shaping the design process, setting standards, and driving innovation across the team. Stay updated on evolving technologies and best practices, bringing fresh perspectives and insights to the team.

• Experience with CSS & SVG Animations, and Lottie
• Experience with Databases (Firebase)
• Experience with Back End development (Php, Python etc.)
• Experience with Unit Tests & Visual Regression Tests
• Experience with HTTP / Web Servers (Linux, Unix, Apache etc.)
