And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.Job Summary:The Software Engineer, Robotics & Automation requires in-depth knowledge and expertise to participate in the architectural design, development, and enhancement of applications.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands the overall vision, business needs and the solution architecture.
  • Help the lead to develop cloud-based solution with Azure PaaS, using C#, .NET Core, Node.Js, Javascript and python.
  • Work in coordination with cross-functional teams to for project needs.
  • Deployment of solution using Azure App Services and using docker based container.
  • Developing custom docker images, publishing it to docker registry and Azure Container Registry services.
  • Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks as required.
  • Plans, develops, tests, deploys and monitors cloud-based solution in a DevOps model.
  • Help in troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues as they arise.
  • Collaborates with senior roles and Architects on various prototypes, or proof of concept, to test solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience and knowledge of:
    • Developing & managing solutions using C#, .NET Core & Python.
    • Developing applications integrating in real-time with IoT devices.
    • IoT related software development background, including:
      • Experience in building distributed or data intensive systems.
      • Experience with device connectivity & protocols (HTTP, MQTT).
      • Experience with communication encryption preferred (TLS, PKI, Digital Signature).
    • Database Knowledge: Good to have experience working with databases like Timeseries, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, including database design and querying.
    • RESTful APIs: Demonstrated ability to design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend applications.
    • Setting up Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) / DevOps for cloud hosted or on-prem solution.
  • Familiar with:
    • Industry 4.0 concepts and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) applications.
    • Development of validated systems in a regulated environment is a plus.
    • Development of Automated Testing Scripts to support validation requirements a plus.
    • Application service monitoring and application performance.
  • Preferred:
    • Overall 2 years of experiences with .NET, C# and Python.
    • 1 years of experiences with IoT / Edge development.
Physical and Travel Requirements:
  • 15 PERCENT travel, including global travel
  • Occasional on-call work required
