Job Description

Payments has become a very active/hot area in the last couple of years, creating a strong demand for innovation. This will be a very exciting area in the next 5 to 10 years. Not only is VISA a leader in the payment industry and has been for a long time, but it is also quickly transitioning into a technology company that is fostering an environment for applying the latest technology to solve exciting problems in this area.As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be part of our Acceptance Solutions org to help design, enhance and build our transactional platform in an agile development environment. You will play part of multiple teams tasked with multiple projects ranging from building full stack development of real-time transactional services, REST services API, Container based micro-services to highly functional, secure, scalable and resilient real time payment systems. You will work on development, unit testing, code reviews and regular check-ins to continuous integration that will become part of your DNA.If this sounds exciting, we want to chat and tell you more about our work culture and environment and see if this will be a good fit for both of us.Essential Functions:

  • Youll use technologies that include Java, REST, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes and more.
  • Youll help our customers achieve their real goals by understanding their requirements and how they respond to their business needs.
  • You will analyze business requirements and architect a solution that is robust and scalable along with providing technical documentation of solution.
  • Youll leverage new technologies to build the next generation of Transactional systems.
  • Youll develop and deliver new features every few days and be responsible for them end-to-end.
  • You are familiar with Generative AI (GENAI) tools and frameworks.
  • You have the work and academic experience that will demonstrate proficiency and ease with programming languages, code quality initiatives, scripting languages and operating systems.
  • You have experience in commercial software development on Unix/Linux environment.
  • You have experience with DevOps practices to ensure seamless development cycles and efficient production releases.
  • You have experience in consumer facing application development.
  • You have amazing work ethic that will help us all work extremely well together.
  • You have the passion to understanding people and to always striving to improve our products and services.
  • You possess comprehensive hands-on experience in testing activities, including the automation of functional test suites.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50 PERCENT or more of the time based on business needs.Locations - Job Location: Bangalore, INDIA
