Job Description

: Technical Program Manager, VMware EngineLocation: Bengaluru, Karnataka, IndiaExperience Level: MidMinimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in cloud computing emerging technologies or related technical fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with VMware ecosystem and tools.
  • Experience with Googles infrastructure and infrastructure management systems.
  • Experience working across a distributed, integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
  • Understanding of large scale distributed systems and excellent problem-solving skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, youll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. Youll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Youre equally comfortable explaining your teams analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering skills. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project life-cycle. This includes managing project schedules and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You will work with local and global teams to deliver launches on time and manage risk and changes.Using your extensive technical and leadership skills, you will manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes, and driving the technical directions of your programs.   • Execute product launches and influence across your team and the overall program.
  • Drive program management and find ways to handle complexity across high breadth and depth and drive alignment across compute organization and its respective stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving abilities and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, launch velocity driving decisions, and organize work into sub-projects.
  • Work with Engineering and Product Management to drive prioritization, planning, and product roadmap.
