Job Description

Test Engineering Manager, NetworkLocation: Bengaluru, Karnataka, IndiaMinimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with network equipment and network protocols testing and debugging.
  • 5 years of people management experience.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in supporting live networks (e.g., working in Image Signal Processing (ISP), supporting customer networks), testing networks.
  • Experience in stakeholder management.

As a Networking Test Engineer you make sure that our massive and growing network is operating at its peak potential. You have hands-on experience with complex networking equipment, a deep understanding of networking protocols, test design and implementation chops and a background in IP network design. Its your job to make sure Googles cutting-edge technology can perform at scale.Using your extensive technical and leadership, you manage a team of engineers providing expertise, directing project objectives, timelines and budgets. This role is eligible for a transfer with a level change (TLC).Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Googles product portfolio possible. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.Responsibilities
  • Lead Network Test Infrastructure teams, both test engineers and software engineers.
  • Hire, Mentor, Train teams of Test and Software Engineers.
  • Work with Development and Product Teams to deploy software and hardware products to run Google data center networks.
  • Work with multiple functions across the globe, Site Reliability Engineering, Release Management, Sister Teams in other locations.
