Job Description

    General Manager-Logistics/Supply ChainJob DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to oversee implementation of logistics operation excellence to enable timely delivery of manufactured goods to customers, procurement of components from suppliers and enhance supply chain capabilities.
    • Formulate and implement logistics specific standards, strategies, processes, and systems within the plant to fulfil customer delivery demands in a timely manner
    • Promote and implement end-to-end digital and connected value chain to optimize material and information flow, end to end supply chain capabilities from supplier till customer
    • Oversee fulfillment of target business plan for the plant by evaluating and effectively managing inventories. Improve logistics KPIs
    • Quality of inventory (Blocked stock, Ageing etc.,) to ensure logistics excellence within the supply chain
    • Monitor implementation of processes and methods for inbound and outbound logistics, safe and secure storage of raw materials and finished goods
    • Enhance end to end supply chain strategy towards fit for future capabilities.
    • Deployment of methods and tools ( Data Analytics, logistics innovation) to enable better transparency and predictability in value chain
    • Act as final escalation point within the plant for internal and external delivery of materials
    • Manage commercial processes to be legally compliant with internal guidelines Central Directives and external laws namely foreign trade Customs and taxation laws.
    • Foresee the logistics competency requirements for the basis current and future trends and direct employee capability development accordingly, also formulate the digital competency requirement based upon current and future trends
    Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree in engineering /Masters degree in engineering
    • Masters in business administration (supply chain)*
    • 12 years of work experience in supply chain
    • Leadership experience with leading teams both on strategic and operations planning
    • Knowledge
