Job Description

    KIDS Hospital seeks to hire a Nursing Supervisor with the following description:Required education background in BSc Nursing or GNM, and at least 6-8 years of nursing experience. Preferred if experience is in NABH hospital in the ICU/casualty departments and if there is a track-record of managing 5-10 staff nurses in a shift.Role: Manage duty rosters for nursing staff of ICU and ward. Record keeping for IPD patients (admission, discharge, referral, MLC, etc) Supervision of admission and discharge of patients in time. To ensure timely sample collection, reporting and investigation before daily doctor rounds. To coordinate on-call consultation and external lab investigation. Coordinate with the in-house dieticians to ensure all diet-related requirements of the patient are being met. Supervise biomedical waste management in coordination with housekeeping department. Communicate to the Medical Superintendent (MS) everyday about the status of daily admissions, discharges and about the condition of serious patients. Hands-on training to nursing staff as and when required, as per NABH standards. Communicate leaves, absenteeism and change of duty amongst nursing staff to the MS on a regular basis. Approve leaves for nursing staff after consultation with the MS. Understand and analyse the current patient treatment protocol and suggest improvements after consultation with the MS. Nursing Supervisors are responsible for overall in-patient satisfaction. Ensure the timely supply of linen and stationery from the central store to meet the requirements of the wards/ICUs/cabins. To ensure the availability of life saving drugs in every shift and replenish the stock after usage.
