Job Description

    A Demand Planner isresponsible for forecasting future product demand to optimize inventory levels and ensure products are available to meet customer needs.This role involves analyzing sales data, market trends, and other factors to create accurate demand forecasts, which then inform inventory, production, and supply chain decisions.Demand Planners collaborate with various teams like sales, marketing, and supply chain to align on forecasts and strategies.
      • Forecasting Demand:Analyzing historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and other relevant factors to predict future product demand.This often involves using statistical forecasting methods and software.
    • Inventory Management:Working with supply chain and operations teams to ensure optimal inventory levels, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
    • Collaboration:Partnering with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather input, share forecasts, and align on strategies to meet demand.
    • Performance Monitoring:Tracking forecast accuracy, identifying areas for improvement, and adjusting forecasts as needed.
    • Reporting:Generating reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels.
    • Process Improvement:Identifying opportunities to improve demand planning processes, forecasting accuracy, and overall supply chain efficiency.
