Job Title : Senior Engineer - Buildings - On Fixed Term Contract Department : Civil & Steel Structures 2 Role Definition : Roles at this level are leads for a small-sized team, Equipment responsible engineers, leading small areas or leading a project with low complexities. They communicate seamlessly with global entities, suppliers, sub-contractors and within the project teams. This role typically is of execution with minimum supervision within the area of work executed as a team member. Key Role & Responsibility : Functional competency Management of a project at disciplinary level of low to medium complexity and small size project / proposal under close guidance. Responsible for specific task / area as EQR or Area Lead for management of all activities related to his task / area in the project. Creation of adapted solutions based on existing solutions. Prepare quality deliverable within budget, schedule and take full responsibility for the own task and check the deliverables created by others. Contact person with sound knowledge for specific activity / for computational methods within his area. Internal and external co-ordination with other disciplines and vendors / contractors. Leading competency Leading a small to mid sized team of engineers / designers. Internal and external co-ordination with other disciplines, global suppliers, clients / PMC. Representation of the interest of the department to internal stake holders. Additional Responsibility : For Area lead, Lead of small projects, Team members: Number of Projects Handled: Atleast 2 large/mid size projects as a Team member Excellent collaboation and communicaiton skills For EQR roles: Atleast 2 projects executed as EQR with global suppliers Excellent collaboation and communicaiton skills Education qualification & Experience : 1. Bachelor of Civil Engineering with 5+ years experience 2. Master in Civil Engineering will be an added advantage Technical Knowledge : - Structural and Architectural knowledge of buildings. - Experience of Industrial buildings (e.g. Electrical substation, Plant control room, Administration office, Ware house, Workshop, Equipment shelter, Machine house etc.) - Analysis / Design of Structures & Buildings using STAAD Pro or similar software. - Design of open/pile foundations (isolated or combined raft). - Knowledge of Indian and International codes (American, Euro, Russian etc.) relevant to Civil/Structural discipline. - Exposure to Russian codes and Standards will be added advantage. - Hands on experience of review tools e.g., SPR, Navis Works. Knowledge of 3D CAD modelling tools ( S3D /PDS /Tekla / Revit) is highly desirable Preparation / Review of 2D conceptual and detail Civil & Structure drawings. - Preparation / Review of Buildings MTOs. - Experience in inter disciplinary model checks, clash run and resolving the clashes. - Familiar with managing technical interfaces with other disciplines regarding building design. * Familiar with current BIM standards. Preferred SkillSet : - Coordination and resolving interface with other disciplines e.g. Electrical, Instrumentation, HVAC & Piping. - Checking / Reviewing Civil & Structural drawings and 3D models - prepared by other designers or sub-contractors - Analysis and/or Design of Steel/RCC structures/buildings & foundations - Delivering quality deliverables within allotted budget and schedule - Should be able to carry out Proposal Projects. # Software Proficiency : - Analysis & Design: STAAD Pro or equivalent, Foundation 3D/Mat3D - Design Review: SPR, Navis Works - 3D Modelling: SP3D, PDS,Tekla and REVIT - Familiarity ArchiCAD, MicroStation 2D, Smart Plant Review (SPR), Tekla (added advantage) Targeted Industries : EPC companies, engineering firms involved in process plant design & buildings design, managing overseas and Local industrial projects.,
