Job Description

    Responsibilities: - Work as Technical manager in the Open Source community team as 50% bandwidth and the Open Source community upstream developer as 50% bandwidth. - Manage Team of ~15-20 members in India offshore location. - Manage resources and SPOC for the higher management of the team. - Build trust with team members and be an active listener and effective supporter of people issues. - Participating in the hiring and termination process; - Encourage and support individual growth through a coaching approach. - Work as an upstream developer in the Open Source community development - Triage, fix bugs, and implement features upstream. - Build and maintain strong trust and working relationships with community developers. - Convert designs and blueprints into running code and provide automated tests to demonstrate correctness. - Work in Open Source community development toolings like git etc. - Prepare roadmap and technical docs. - Provide technical help and mentorship to the OSS team. - Strong understanding of the Open Source community workflow. - Experience peer-reviewing colleagues and open source code. - Represent NEC in global OSS (Kubernetes or CloudNative) conferences across the world through delivering presentations, and participating in technical discussions. Required Mandatory Skills: - At least 12 years of experience in the software industry. - A minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role. - The expert level experience in team management and people issue solving. - The expert Level experience in software development in Linux OS. - Hands-on experience with deploying and integrating software, as well as designing the features and converting them into code. - Leadership experience to lead the development team. - Expert-level understanding of software architecture and development skills. - Expert-level understanding of software design, and container technology. - Language: Python, C++, Go lang Good to have: - Kubernetes or any other Open source software certification.,
