If you want to make an impact on a global scale, come make a difference at Fiserv.Job TitleAdvisor, Software Development EngineeringWhat does a successful Application Specialist- Professional doRelease Ops Engineer closely works closely with the Development and Testing in terms of day to day Build, Deploy and Packaging of the codes in the lower environments. He/She is also responsible for Preparing Release works and to maintain the stability of the environments. Needs to liaise with multiple stakeholders and support the day to day environment issues in non-prod environments for Weblogic and Linux support activities. Shell Scripting and DevOps Methodologies would be added advantage.What you will do:

  • Maintain & Manage the Source Code in SVN and Defect tracking tool Bugzilla.
  • Manage stability of environment in the lower regions, close to 11 environments in Linux.
  • Perform Health checks and Monitoring the environments.
  • Troubleshoot environment and application issues occurring in our Test environments and work closely with application stakeholders to fix the issues within time.
  • Track the various endpoints with respect to the different code branches and releases.
  • Build & Deploy Fiservs Enterprise wide J2EE applications in our non-prod environments running Weblogic application servers on Red Hat Linux systems with Oracle 19c.
  • Develop an automated, continuous, build process that reviews the source code, identifies build errors and notifies appropriate parties using Ubuild.
  • Package, deliver and install according to a standard (best practice) in line with the enterprise IT policy.
  • Troubleshoot any application issue reported by clients and possess good communication skills.
  • Define release engineering process - builds, deployments, automation for new applications.
  • CICD support/execution.
  • Writing scripts using Shell scripting or Perl/Python to help in our regular activities like Application Deployment, Middleware upgrade or monitoring.
  • ITIL Process and Change / Release Management would be added advantage.
What you will need to have:
  • Bachelors in Engineering (Computer Science, or applicable work experience).
  • 4-13 years experience in Application Support that includes Linux and Weblogic Support.
  • Good Exposure towards DevOps and CI/CD.
  • IBM Urban Code Build tool, Jenkins, would be an added advantage.
  • 2 or more years experience in configuring, implementing and troubleshooting enterprise applications in a networked environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve application issues.
  • Experience working within an agile development team.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and shifts for on-call support.
