Utilizing Java and SpringBoot, youll design, build, and deploy microservices with advanced Spring components, JPA/Hibernate ORM, and integrate cutting-edge front-end technologies like Angular and Typescript. Ensuring high-quality, secure code through security scanning using tools like SonarQube, Fortify, Sonatype and collaborating via Gitlab and Atlassian suite, youll contribute to a seamless, central access point for business management.If you are a technology enthusiast that is constantly improving their skills and is learning in every opportunity, then you are the person we are looking for!What you will be doingYou will join one of our scrum teams working on our product backlog as Senior Java Developer. Each team is composed of at least one UI Developer, Java API Developer, Business Analyst/Product Owner, QA and Scrum Master. You will closely cooperate with other team members to deliver product increments each sprint.On a day-to-day basis you will:
  • Work with Business Analyst to make sure that requirements are clear for you and the team
  • Contribute and add new features, resolve bugs and refactor/improve the code base
  • Collaborate with the UI developers on integration of new/modified API endpoints with newly created UI
  • Cover implemented API changes with unit and e2e tests
  • Perform code review for peer developers
  • Cooperate with QAs to ensure high quality of software delivered
You will work closely with other Java developers on a shared code base implementing continuous improvements to the application.Who are we looking forThe successful candidate should have experience working in a collaborative agile environment, in a scrum team and be familiar with Agile Scrum principles. A degree/diploma in a Computer Science or in a relevant field or similar work experience is required.Proven experience in a similar role (6 years) with strong experience in Java.This role also requires hands-on experience with the below technologies:
  • Experience with Spring components like Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Integration, Spring Data JPA, Spring Data Redis, Spring Data MongoDB, Apache Camel
  • Strong understanding of integration with backend data systems (Oracle DB, JPA/Hibernate, NoSQL Databases e.g. Redis, DocumentDB)
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API design
  • Experience/understanding of DevOps principles and experience with a cloud platform: AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
  • Experience in runtime build and deployment technologies as well as project tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ, GitLab, JIRA, and Confluence
What technology stack do we use(only for candidates reached out to directly; wont pass internal ATS)
  • We are running on Java 21.
  • Our microservices run on SpringBoot 3 and Spring.
  • From Spring we use components like Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Integration, Spring Data JPA, Spring Data Redis, Spring Data MongoDB, Apache Camel, and more.
  • We also use some parts from the Spring Cloud project like Config Server.
  • We use JUnit with Mockito, Spock for unit testing and Integration Testing in API, and Cypress for front-end unit tests.
  • We build RESTful (OpenAPI 2 and 3 standard) APIs. We consume SOAP APIs using Apache Camel.
  • We have Oracle database and were using JPA/Hibernate as the ORM layer. We are in the process of migrating to NoSQL databases like Redis or DocumentDB.
  • We use front-end technologies of Angular 14, Typescript, HTML5, SCSS, RxJS, Ngrx, Highcharts, Webpack, Responsive and Progressive Web designs, BEM, Angular Material CDK.
  • Our code is versioned in Git and we use GitLab as our code repository.
  • Maven is our build tool, and our artifacts are stored in Nexus. For continuous quality, we use static code analysis tools like SonarQube and Fortify, which are focused on security, and our APIs are scanned by WebInspect.
