Job Description

    Job Title: Network/System AdministratorJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network/System Administrator to manage and maintain our organizations computer networks and systems. The successful candidate will ensure optimal system performance, security, and efficiency while providing support to end-users and working collaboratively with IT teams.Key Responsibilities
    • Network Management
      • Design, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other network systems.
      • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
      • Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and other networking equipment.
    • System Administration
      • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and software.
      • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
      • Ensure system security by implementing policies, monitoring access, and managing permissions.
    • Security and Compliance
      • Protect the network and systems from threats by implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures.
      • Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and respond to security incidents.
      • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
    • User Support
      • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
      • Document resolutions and create user manuals or guides for common problems.
    • Infrastructure Optimization
      • Evaluate and recommend new hardware, software, and technologies to improve efficiency.
      • Collaborate with vendors for procurement and support.
      • Plan and implement disaster recovery and business continuity measures.
    • Monitoring and Documentation
      • Maintain accurate records of network configurations, systems, and procedures.
      • Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance and generate reports.
    Qualifications
    • Education
      • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications may be considered.
    • Experience
      • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in network/system administration or a related role.
    • Technical Skills
      • Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
      • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
      • Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
      • Familiarity with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
      • Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
    • Certifications (Preferred)
      • CompTIA Network, CompTIA Security, CCNA, MCSE, RHCE, or similar credentials.
    Soft Skills
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team.
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
    Work Environment
    • Typically office-based with occasional remote work opportunities.
