Job Description

:Ground Instructor (GI) A person duly approved to provide ground training in aeronautical knowledge areas related to technical aspects and/or aircraft performance.Job OverviewProviding regulatory initial and recurrent training to Pilots, Ground Instructors and continuous development and upgrade of training curriculum and tools.Duties and responsibilities

  • To provide initial ground training, in aeronautical knowledge areas required for the issuance of a type rating or any other training as per the Airbus/Airbus affiliates Flight training manuals.
  • To provide recurrent ground training in aeronautical knowledge areas, as required for recurrent training of pilots and Ground Instructors.
  • To provide ground training for SFI & TRI.
  • To train Ground Instructors to conduct initial, recurrent or transition training in accordance with the FCTP as directed by the Head of Flight Training.
  • To assist in the development of various training programs.
  • Checks the validation of training manuals and other course materials used in various flight training courses.
  • To communicate issues of concern, or of exceptional achievement, regarding crew member trainees performance to the Head of Flight Training in a timely manner.
  • Any other task as directed by Head of Flight Training or his designate.

Work Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as approved Ground Instructor.
  • Approvals for Technical/Performance on Airbus A320 Family is mandatory.
Qualification
  • Shall be an engineering graduate or holding a graduate degree, with Physics and/or Mathematics from a recognized Board/University;Or
  • Should have been a qualified pilot/flight navigator/flight engineer/flight dispatcher/ATCO, with minimum two (2) years of work experience in aviation;Or
  • Should have been an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with a minimum of three (03) years of work experience as an AME.
