Business Development Manager Telco Technology Office (TTO) - EMEA basedLocation Remote ItalyPosting date 2 days ago(2/5/2021 2:56 AM)Job ID 83784 Category Business Development Job summary The Red Hat Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Telco team is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Telco Technology Office. In this role, you will help us accelerate the growth of our business in platforms like Red OpenStack Platform, Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Middleware, etc. You will focus on key growth in our 5 telco pillars like NFV and mobile, business support system (BSS) and operational support system (OSS), Enterprise, and Media and Fixed with a special focus on the Media and Fixed pillar. You will provide expertise and vision, and will help grow the opportunity pipeline creation between 9-18 months as well as getting breakthroughs in the Tier 1 and 2 operators in EMEA. As a Business Development Manager, you will support Red Hat Consulting and an ecosystem across EMEA. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business. Primary job responsibilities

  • Build value propositions for our telco customers on media and cable for using cable modem termination system (CMTS), broadband network gateway (BNG), content delivery network (CDN), etc.
  • Generate mid term pipeline growth in 9 -12months as well as a number of breakthroughs in Tier 1 and Tier 2 operators in EMEA
  • Engage at EMEA and country level with our sales and presales teams to support demand generating activities like events, webinars, and publications
  • Participate in the creation of new solutions in anticipation of future telco needs; create a solid total cost of ownership that justify the commercial proposition
  • Communicate between project teams, communities of practice, and product teams to evangelize the 5 telco pillars
  • Update and create frameworks and processes for customer and consulting teams to deliver solutions
  • Extract and preserve knowledge, learnings, and good practices from projects and contribute to the solution repository
Required skills
  • 5+ years of experience in sales organizations acting as business development manager or similar sales role in a telco supplier company with a strong level of engagement with Tier 1 or 2 operators like Telefonica, Vodafone, Orange, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience working in telco operators with Media and Cable experience as well as product development or marketing
  • Deep domain knowledge and extensive experience with the NFV and SDN community and an understanding of how SDN can transform the telco industry
  • Forward thinking and strategic view of the telco industry
  • Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet expectations
  • Highly collaborative work style with proven ability to gather consensus and take decisive and timely action
  • Ability to work with globally distributed teams across Red Hat Consulting, Sales, product teams, and collaboration with other regional practice leads
  • Solid presentation and teaching skills.
  • Ability to adjust to different audiences, from developer to Chief Technology Officer to line of business
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills
