Job Description

Summary: Our client is a well-regarded privately held concrete company. We are helping them to identify a Concrete Production Manager for their operations in Eastern Idaho (Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Driggs.) This person is responsible for all aspects of the production of ready-mix concrete; including the manufacturing facilities and delivery operations. This work requires close coordination with Dispatch, Aggregate Production and QA/QC departments.The Concrete Production Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Training and evaluation of personnel in order to assure an adequate work force. Maintaining proper staff levels and handling specific personnel issues as necessary
  • Maintain a safe work environment as defined by company and government policies, adhere to environmental regulations
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of all plants and ensure corrective actions are taken for necessary repairs to machinery and equipment
  • Maximize equipment availability and minimize repair costs through effective operating practices and preventive maintenance procedures.
Quality Experience & Skill basic Requirement
    • Complete knowledge of mixer plant operations, including batching, scheduling, and employee management
    • Experience in concrete mix designs, placement, as well as potential hazards and problems
    • Previous experience managing/directly supervising 15 plus employees across multiple departments
    • Ability to communicate technical concepts and thoughts to management
    • Ability to apply moderately complex mathematical equations as applicable
    • Thorough working knowledge of Systech and proven ability with other general computer systems.
