Technical Support Desired Skills and Abilities: Good writing and communication, written and oral; in both English and HindiQualifications, Experience and competencies required: M.Sc.in Wildlife Science / Life Science / Conservation Biology or related subject from a reputed University in India or abroad.Minimum five years work experience on elephant conservation issues in India or abroad is required.Be the point person in WWF - India for addressing all network questions on elephant conservation issues in the landscapes.Together with the landscape and Sectt. team, prepare strategies for communicating elephant conservation related achievements from different landscapes, and rigorously maintain a country - wide update on elephant conservation related matters. Networking, Coordination and Communication Working with the Landscape Team Leaders and Landscape Coordinators for strategizing and supervising the activities and bring about innovative ideas for further development of the elephant conservation programme in the landscapes.Facilitate knowledge building and sharing among the elephant Landscapes, within India and abroad.Assessing elephant conservation strategies currently being implemented by WWF - India team in the landscapes and identifying approaches to strengthen those in consultation with Species & Landscapes Conservation team.Providing necessary training and technical support to field teams for scaling - upelephant conservation efforts and outcomes in the country.Identifying key policy interventions needed for effective elephant conservation and working with the senior management team at WWF - India to address these.Working on any other issues or matters arising out of this area as may be within the purview of WWF - India. Programme Development and Policy Support Providing quality assistance to the elephant Landscapes teams for implementing projects, and help in strategizing for long term elephant conservation work in the landscapes.Assist the field biologists in the elephant landscapes with study design for monitoring elephant populations, both in their habitats and corridors, and capacity building of the Forest Department personnel to carry out the work from time to time.Assist the teams in managing human elephant conflict in the landscapes, together with the Coordinator Human Wildlife Interface.Assist with analyzing and synthesizing elephant and habitat monitoring data from the elephant landscapes.Regularly maintain updates on elephant conservation issues in the landscapes, including monitoring outcomes, human elephant conflict and corridors & connectivity, and engage with the state government as well as the central government, particularly Project Elephant for addressing issues at policy level.,
