Cost Accounting Manager

Job Description

Cost Accounting Managers must be a qualified Cost and Management Accountant from ICAI/ICWAI and have strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technology skills, Computer Literate Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word with at least three years experience of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment.The job responsibilities of Cost Accounting Manager will include:-

• Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of manufacturing;
• Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing monthly reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs;
• Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures;
• Determine and calculate formulas for fixed and variable costs;
• Analyzing data collected and recording results, Scrutinizing associated company expense, analyzing profitability and preparing the company Budget;
• Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, Review rates of Depreciation, Labour, and Overheads to determine effects on cost and create cost-benefit analysis for changing vendors and suggest policy changes to improve numbers and make recommendations about cost efficient and financially feasible cost options;
• Classify Cost and generate Purchase Price Variance (PPV) Reports and analysis findings;
• Analyzing audits of costs and preparing internal cost audits reports;
• Making estimates of new and proposed product costs;
• Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate;
• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. Project profit margins for upcoming quarters and analyze trends of highs and lows;
• Prepare cost forecasts for monthly, quarterly, or annual operating schedules, Analyze month-end and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements;
• Performing month-end cost accounting close and Maintaining Cost Accounting System and cost ledger;
• Monitoring unit cost variance, Implementing cost standards for materials and labor, Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports and Reconciling beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock;
• Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger;
• Assisting in preparing monthly Profit/Loss Statement with comparing cost components and cost analysis;
• Conducting physical inventories and monitors cycle count program and conduct and inventory reserve analysis on quarterly basis and generate reports for the management;
• Reconciling finished goods inventories;
• Compliances to Cost Accounting Standards and Legal Metrology Act, MRP laws ;
• Collect production data, maintenance and inventory control data;
• Managingthe budgets around all costing issues and provide variance analysis;
• Play an active role in costingnew products;
• Educating the Operational and Production teamson the management of costs;
• Understand Operational and Production software to ensure that costs are recorded accurately.

Requirement

• Regular Studies from reputed university in B Com (H) - (preference Delhi) & ICAI/ICWAI
• Candidate age should be below 40 years
• Candidate should be local resident of Delhi / Noida / Greater Noida
• Minimum 5 years working experience in manufacturing of Detergent or similar industry preferred.
• Salary will be based on merit.
