Provide Technical, Customer and Team deliveries for successful database administration in DB2 for ZOSReporting relationship:This role will report to Delivery ManagerDeliveryPhysical implementation and support of databasesMonitor and maintain databases to produce stable and efficient systemsShould have a good hold on DB2 Utilities, JCL and Cobol.Database helpdesk support that includes Database tuning and resolution of performance issuesProvide Data fixes.Support software developers with database operations including the development of complex SQL, tuning of DML.Work with data modeler to come up with the physical data model implementation needs.Manage production, QA and development database environments.Assist in capacity planningEnsure secure database by creating and following corporate security policiesProcess AdherenceEnsure Compliance with PGS / BU specific SDLC / Execution practices (like defect management, prevention, efforts tracking etc)Provide input for maintaining delivery metricsContribute in release planning and co-ordinationOther ContributionParticipate in BU level initiatives Knowledge Management, Operational Efficiency, code jams etc.Must HaveSkillsMainframe JCl, COBOL, REXXGood to haveBMC catalog Manager and Change managerApptuneOther: Sound technical skills, inter personal skills, good experience in estimation methodologies, excellent communication and time management skills requiredEducation: Graduate Bachelor s degree (any stream)Soft Skill Competencies:Make sound business decisionEmbrace ChangeBuild strong PartnershipGet resultsAct StrategicallyLead Cultivate Talent,
