Responsibilities & Key Deliverables1. Benchmarking of various chassis systems - Hydraulic brakes and Wheels, Anti-lock braking system, Electronic Stability control system (ESP) 2. Vehicle performance attribute target setting & evaluation, 3. Aligning product / customer requirement through benchmarking of the braking system to system design specification, component design specification and CAE Design specification. 4. Interfacing with material management team for development of proto parts and ensure building of prototype for concept verification, 5. Vehicle development work - brake pedal feel tuning exercise, Vehicle performance enhancement, Light weighting 6. Ensure quality compliance in all products of the platform to meet the requirements of customer, 7. Work towards resolution of field complaints and work closely with PVT teams 8. Ensure cost reduction by collaborating with Integrated Material Cost Reduction team in taking initiatives to reduce product cost.Experience7 to 10 YearsIndustry PreferredQualificationsBE/ ME (Electrical and Electronics)General RequirementsKnowledge of Braking Regulations requirement, Concept Finalization, Brakes systems configuration with Interface packaging layout; Vehicle performance attribute target setting & evaluation 1) Key Result Areas: Benchmarking & Target Setting for System Performance,Cost & Weight. Comply with requirements of MPDS through product life cycle development stages Target cascading, Development of 1-D mathematical models/calculations, Concept design Feasibility Study & Evaluating Trade-off Matrix (Pugh matrix & Decision evolving matrix) Reviewing System Interfaces, Monitoring system Confidence Maturity Matrix. Liasing with CFT & Suppliers for system development. Ensuring deployment of vehicle performance lessons learnt. Ensuring Standardization & support IMCR initiatives. 2) Other Responsibilites Benchmarking New technologies development through interaction with suppliers Interaction with External consultant/Subject Matter experts (SME) on improving system performance Maintaining design records / documentationo Passenger vehicle design (Prefferred) o Brakes system design o Brakes rotor, brake drum design o Brakes circuit design / brakes size selection o ABS, ESP, ADAS system design o GD&T, Material selection and manufacturing methods o DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFS, o Domestic & International Design Standards o QFD & 6-Sigma Practices o CAD knowledge (CATIA & Team centre PLM),
