Job Description Position Title: Plant Design and Piping Summer Intern SUMMARY: Assistin Piping Engineering activities which will include activity related to Piping Stress analysis calculations and Piping Material specifications as per the direction of assigned Piping Lead / Engineer. Duties consist of various task to be completed within the stipulated time as assigned by Piping Lead / Engineer. ROLE OVERVIEW: A. Supervision Received Reports to and receives technical guidance and operational supervision from designated supervisory personnel. B. Contacts Maintains relationships with project personnel , particularly with individual discipline group leaders and engineers in New Delhi office. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: The following duties are General / Common within the Piping Engineering function: 1.Gather inputs from other disciplines for preparing piping deliverables 2.Study relevant Engineering Instructions and guidelines related to piping engineering 3.Perform consistency check across various piping documents 4.Prepare various piping deliverables under the guidance of assigned piping engineer 5.Assists in preparing Project reports as required. 6.Participate in piping team meetings 7.Familiarization with Engineering work processes The following duties are performed with respect to Piping Engineering: 1.Assists in preparation of the piping stress packages. 2.Assists in preparing the Stress analysis inputs. 3.Assists in preparing and issuing stress calculation reports under the guidance of designated piping engineer. 4.Assists in preparing and issuing pipe wall thickness calculation reports under the guidance of designated piping engineer. 5.Assist in preparation of service class index and pipe support schedules. 6.Assists in vendor drawing mark - ups. JOB KNOWLEDGE Pursuing Mechanical Engineering degree from a reputed Institute. Having general awareness of Oil & Gas , Refinery and Petrochemical industries. Having an inclination of pursuing a career in Plant Design and Piping engineering. Ability to work in a team and possess good communication skill. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite.
