- Production: o Managing overall operations with a view to ensure timely accomplishment of production targets within the time and cost parameters. o Hands-on Knowledge of Mechanical Presses must have exposure of Cold, Warm & Hot forging. o Implementing effective techniques to bring efficiency in operations & improve the quality standards thereby achieving optimum output.Design & Development: o Managing design & development activities including guiding, checking & approving the design, executing the necessary modifications in process & tool design for process validation. o Scheduling design jobs to designers & ensuring timely completion as per pre-set parameters. Understanding overall operations for new products or improvement of existing products with thrust on reducing product cost. o Coordinating product development customization functions including requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, designing, prototype development & testing activities.Process Improvement: o Identifying scope for planning, implementing & monitoring technological changes to enhance productivity. o Carrying out modifications in equipment, process flow, working practices and consumables for controlling & reducing conversion cost per unit produced. o Implementing various techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, etc. for cycle time reduction.Tool Room Operations: o Managing tool room activities, which include planning, monitoring & analysing.
