Job Description

To be part of the molecular biology team and will be responsible for carrying out lab activities pertaining to project requirements and document themKey Responsibilities:

  • To carry out routine molecular biology experiments assigned by the reporting manager
  • Accurate documentation of the results and organized storage of the data
  • Reporting of results in written and/or presentation formats as and when required
  • Good time management and organization for carrying out the assigned work
  • Contribution to inventory keeping, general laboratory maintenance and safety
  • Adherence to Syngene policies on regulatory, safety and quality
  • Possess the knowledge and exposure to environment, health, and safety (EHS) practices.
  • Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety.
  • Ensure environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures are imparted via training and adhered within the team.
Educational Qualification: MSc-Life Science StreamTechnical/functional Skills:
  • Basic Microbiological techniques PCR, RT-PCR, Plasmid Isolation, Site directed Mutagenesis. RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis. Gene synthesis and Cloning techniques. Knowledge of Basic bioinformatics tools. Handling of Molecular Biology sequence analysis tools like Sequencher, Vector NTi, Snap gene, Geneious etc. MS -Office skills
Experience:MSc with 6-9 years post qualificationBehavioral Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, data documentation and analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and very good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel. Coordination of internal and external resources is essential.
  • Strong organizational, detail-orientation, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to work under strict timelines.
