Job Description

    Position Name Engineer Restraints & Interiors Testing, Crash & safety Position level L5 DEM position name Lead Testing & Instrumentation Crash & safety DEM position level L4, L5 Purpose of the position Leads the team responsible for conducting Interiors testing, Sub-system testing and component testing. He/she is also responsible for performing detailed analysis of test, prepared report and provide solution to achieve the performance target requirements for the product being tested. Some of the key tasks to be performed by the employee are: - 1. Identifying test requirements and understand the gaps in meeting performance requirements 2. Evaluate data against known criterias - using crash test analysis softwares like Diadem, PC evaluation, High speed motion analysis 3. Working with design/CAE teams to understand the feasibility of performance improvement solution. 4. Read regulations and understand requirements. If no one is appointed in this position then the team will not have direction to perform tests, perform detailed analysis of test results and provide solutions to meet performance target requirements. Relevant Experience : 3-8 years of experience in the field of Automotive safety testing. Key Responsibilities: 1Primary Tasks 1. Responsible for conducting sub system and component level tests. 2. Responsible for analysing test data and publish report with inputs to achieve performance targets 3. Responsible for planning the test, preparing test schedule, monitoring the preparation and ensuring a test completion in time. 4. Identifying needs for engineering capability development & work on specific items to plan procurement. 2Activities which aid primary tasks 1. Identifying test requirements and understand the gaps in meeting performance requirements 2. Evaluate data against known criterias - using crash test analysis softwares like Diadem, PC evaluation, High speed motion analysis 3. Working with design/CAE teams to understand the feasibility of performance improvement solution. 4. Read regulations and understand requirements. 5. Test planning and scheduling 6. Planning for equipments, manpower for execution of test 7. Planning for development of new test facility/capability. 8. Planning for purchase of new equipments. 9. Analyse data and publish report 10. Compare data with benchmark data for suitable improvement. 11. Discussing test requirements with projects team. 12. Solving technical problems in execution of test. 13.
