Job Description

  • Syngene is seeking a M.Sc/M.Tech scientist trained in molecular biology, with good hands-on experience in RNA isolation and cDNA synthesis, PCR, real-time PCR, sequencing, primer designing. Experience with antibody V-gene sequencing will be an added benefit.
  • The candidate needs to have some experience in cell culture and preferably cell-based assays.
  • The position demands the candidate to work in a team and function across multiple disciplines as per the project request. Someone pro-active in learning and fast at adapting to new techniques would be a desired candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Well versed with Molecular Biology techniques.
  • PCRs, Plasmid Isolation, Site directed Mutagenesis.
  • RNA isolation, c-DNA synthesis, q-PCR.
  • Gene synthesis and Cloning techniques.
  • Basic bioinformatics tools.
  • Handling of Molecular Biology analysis tools like Sequencher, Vector NTi etc.
  • MS Office skills.
  • Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety
  • Attend training on environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures imparted company
Educational Qualification:
  • M.Sc Biotechnology or Biochemistry
Technical/functional Skills:
  • Molecular Biology Skills
  • Analysis of sequencing data
  • Documentation skills
Experience:
  • 1-6 years post qualification
Behavioral Skills:
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills
