Job Description

We are the Fleet IoT team which is the enabler of IoT on our vessels. We are responsible for capturing data from various physical sensors around the vessels, whether it being wireless or wired. Additionally, we provide the runtime platform on which various products, implementing specific use cases, can generate value out of the sensor data.As a member of the Fleet IoT team you will contribute to tackling the carbon emissions challenge by using technology. You will help us improve our fleet s energy efficiency and increase safety for our sea farers while they transport goods around the World.We re looking for an experienced Scrum Master to serve our two teams of highly focused and skilled Industrial Engineers and Software Engineers. The Scrum Master role involves understanding the agile processes, partnering with Product Owner/Client leadership teams, and working with the delivery teams, supporting, and guiding them to ensure value is released on a regular cadence. The Scrum Master ensures the organisation, team and individuals understand and live by agile values. They champion the agile and scrum process; they teach and coach the team how to use scrum and agile methods to improve value for business outcomes.The Scrum Master coaches the team to be effective at facilitating the scrum events and how they best approach and resolve impediments. They help the team stay motivated and support the team s commitment to the definition of done.The Scrum Master helps to resolve team conflicts, when needed. They will have strong communication and relationship/stakeholder management skills. The Scrum Master supports the organisation by providing training, coaching and leadership around agile adoption and practices. Coaching team members and the wider organisation on Agile principles, values and practices. Supporting the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the backlog. Collaboration with other scrum masters, engineers, architects, designers, UX experts, external agencies, partners, and key people in the business. Helping to drive engagement with stakeholders. Driving agility and quality to ensure the team delivers the right quality product. Assisting the teams in constantly improving the quality of their deliverables and meeting the Definition of Done. Teaching, mentoring, and coaching Senior Stakeholders on Scrum and Agile at scale methods and processes. Experience working in a large technical Platform environment Understand the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development. Knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks like Kanban, Scrum, XP etc. Solid written and concise verbal communication skills and able to articulate technical complexity to be understood by both technical and non-technical personnel. Proven influencing, coaching and mentoring experience. Ability or proven experience in being effective at coaching the teams how to remove impediments. Ability to coach the teams to become self-organised and effective at facilitating sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint retrospective, daily stand ups and other agile sessions. Experience of working with multi-location teams. Ability to lead the team efforts in relentless improvement. Helping the team improving and taking responsibility for their actions. Teaches problem-solving techniques and helps the team become better problem-solvers for themselves. Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
