Job Description

Mission / Role / PurposeThe threat & vulnerability management team is responsible for identifying, tracking, andcommunicating threats and vulnerabilities.We intent to accomplish this mission by working closely with infrastructure security,infrastructure and other teams/asset owners as necessary.Roles and Responsibilities :-Key Accountabilities -Key result / decision areas (outcomes).Periodically review CoG against new vulnerabilitiesand/or Indicators of Compromise (IoC) -Configuration Guide (CoG) SynchronizationUpdate scanning rules with any changes to CoG -Configuration Guide (CoG) SynchronizationPeriodically review network asset lists forcompleteness and accuracy -Vulnerability Watch ProcessEnsure new vulnerabilities are assessed for impact onCO. infrastructure within SLO -Vulnerability Watch ProcessEnsure remediation plans for vulnerabilities impactingCO. infrastructure are defined / Implemented withSLO -Vulnerability Watch ProcessCoordinate with Engineering and Operations for OSupgrades, to ensure security priorities are beingaddressed -Vulnerability Watch ProcessPublish monthly KPI scorecard measuring theeffectiveness of the Vulnerability Watch process -Vulnerability Watch ProcessEscalate changes not activated within SLO -Vulnerability Watch ProcessEnsure network assets are scanned in accordancewith CO. Security Policy -Network Asset ScanningEnsure identified deficiencies are document& remediated within SLO -Network Asset ScanningDevelop and submit a budget for External penetrationtesting of select CO. infrastructure assets -Penetration TestingEnsure penetration testing of network assets areconducted in accordance with CO. Security Policy -Penetration TestingDocument identified deficiencies -Penetration TestingEnsure identified deficiencies are remediated withinSLO -Penetration TestingPeople Management Perform as a mentorDesired Candidate Profile :-Previous working experience of Vulnerability Management technologies including vulnerabilityassessment, risk rating, threat correlation & remediation.Experience implementing, managing, and supporting a vulnerability management platform is a strong plus (e.g. Qualys, Nexpose, Nessus, Retina).Expertise in securing fundamental networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, TCP, UDP, TLS, IPSEC, 802.1x, NFS.Deep understanding of Linux and Windows Administration services.Influence stakeholders to prioritize and execute risk management initiatives, and drive remediation of process and technology gaps.Strong communication skills.Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills.Education, Qualifications, and Certifications:-University Degree /Diploma or equivalent (computer or communications oriented).Relevant Certifications: Security +, CISSP, CEHExperience Required:-Preferred 3-5 years experience in vulnerability management, Risk assessment or Penetration Testing.Good level of practiced knowledge on Network and/or operating system security.Behavioral skills:-1 Agility 2 Flexibility 3 Innovation4 Results driven 5 Communication6 Prioritization and balanceProfessional skills:-1 Global effectiveness2 Customer service orientation 3 Knowledge and development expert5 Teamworking and networking expert6 Leadership and matrix management 7 Employee development and performancemanagement 8 Delegation and empowerment 9 Data communications 10 Negotiation, presentation, and organizationCareer opportunities:-The role of Job title will keep you in touch not only the technical platforms of Security domain but also keep updated in networking domains.
