Job Description

    Software Engineering Internship - OpenShiftThe key focus for Red Hats Intern Program is a dual partnership between the early talent team and our intern managers. We can offer you professional development, social engagement and networking, performance and development, and meaningful work throughout your summer at Red Hat. What you will do
    • Write, deliver and test code across various codebases in the upstream Operator Framework
    • Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes
    • Communicate and work effectively with internal and external contributors and stakeholders
    • Participate in upstream open source communities
    What you will bring
    • Ability to work full-time May-August
    • Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
    • Knowledge of the UNIX or Linux operating system (any distribution)
    • Coding experience in languages like Go, Java, Python, C++ or C
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    The following are considered a plus:
    • Previous code contributions to or participation in open source projects or code samples on GitHub
    • Knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenShift
    • Previous experience with Kubernetes Operators
