Job Description

Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.CNS CSP GBC MS APJ LDOSolution Architect Description: To work with the customer and provide Nokia Architecture and Design using Nokia s 4G/5G Charging and Policy products. Additionally, support complete project delivery including, migration, integration, and testing of complex Solutions for APJ MNO/MVNO/Enterprise Customers. Key Responsibilities/Main Activities
1. Deep understanding of the BSS business domain and Nokia solutions/products capabilities in the 4g/5g space.
2. Deep understanding of the Payment Policy & Charging domain and expertise in OCS, CHF, PCRF, PCF products. In-Depth knowledge of SurePay is necessary. Knowledge of Nokia products SPS/NCC/NPC is good to have.
3. Understands the underlying 4G/5G/IMS 3GPP protocols including SIP, Diameter, SNMP, HTTP2, REST, etc.
4. Understands and has experience in various Cloud-based technologies including Kubernetes, Helm charts, Openstack, VMware, Ansible, Playbooks, and Containers.
5. Has experience with troubleshooting various 4G/5G/IMS call flows from a Policy & Charging perspective including VoLTE, VoWiFi, and 5G. This includes working troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark to isolate issues.
6. Works closely with project leads, peer engineers, and customers to develop and implement solutions meeting customers requirements and timelines.
7. Acts as a trusted advisor partnering with the customer as needed during deployment activities.
8. Creates Technical Architecture, High-Level Design & Low-Level Design for charging & policy solutions. Works with the customer and R&D for detailed feature analysis. Covers functional as well as non-functional aspects in the architecture.
9. Provides leadership and leads project technical teams to deliver integration, operations, or performance relating services. Technical lead for services projects with a focus on policy & charging products.
10. Supports effort estimation & schedules for Change Requests etc.
11. Actively participates in and contributes to PoCs.
12. Seeks renewal of knowledge and self-training self for newer telecom and cloud technologies. Acts as a technical guide to pre-sales teams for customer discussions
Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
• 7+ years of proven hands-on experience with Telecom projects in the Charging & Policy domain.
• SurePay expertise is necessary.
• Strong 4G/5G knowledge is a must.
• Strong OCS, CHF, PCRF, PCF knowledge is a must.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
• Proven experience in customer requirements analysis, project planning, solution design, software design, development, and deployment.
• Understands 5G and IMS Architecture from an E2E perspective.
• Understands HTTP2 and role of various 5G Interfaces
• The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
• Extremely focused, disciplined, and professionally persistent.
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel candidate should be able to work efficiently to maximize travel schedule, customer engagement, and internal demands.
