If you want to make an impact on a global scale, come make a difference at Fiserv.Job TitleSenior ETL Developer - Ab InitioWhat does a successful Senior ETL Developer - Ab Initio do at FiservYou will be instrumental in developing sophisticated data warehousing solutions utilizing Ab Initio and the Nettezza database. As part of our dynamic data team, you will ensure the data warehouse serves as the single source of truth for numerous applications and facilitates critical reporting. Additionally, you will contribute to our platform migration to the cloud, transitioning the database to Snowflake, and handling a daily intake of 300 million records across various data marts.What you will do:

  • Develop Ab Initio extracts, data loads, and jobs to perform data transformation.
  • Collaborate with diverse business units and project teams to collect requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Fulfill ad hoc data requests utilizing SQL, Toad, and other available software such as Power BI.
  • Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle processes and regulations.
  • Design and develop application architecture, provide estimations, design data security layers, and create design documents.
  • Provide 24/7 support on a rotational basis, including monitoring jobs, performing root cause analysis, and communicating with customers to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with the offshore team for development work.
  • Utilize knowledge of Unix Shell scripting and Unix Commands.
  • Use scheduling tools such as CA7, Autosys, or Control-M.
What you will need to have:
  • 6 years of experience with Ab Initio.
  • 8 years of IT experience in the Merchant Services, Credit Services industry, or financial industry.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience in loading data to Netezza and/or Oracle databases.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
What would be great to have:
  • Experience with AWS cloud and Snowflake database.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling in Unix.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle using Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working with Mainframe/VSAM and flat files.
