Power BI Developer - Data Visualization

Job Description

As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and developing reporting and analytics solutions. You should have an in-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL framework. Your strong understanding of the Microsoft technology stack, including SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services, Analysis Services, and Tabular model, will be crucial for this role.Key Responsibilities:- Experience in creating and optimizing Power BI dashboards, focusing on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization.- Proficiency in writing advanced queries and transformations with T-SQL.- Expertise in building data visualizations and understanding various chart types to highlight patterns in both unstructured and structured data sets.- Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.- Creating data visualizations to drive decision-making.- Designing and implementing effective data models.- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements.- Optimizing the performance of queries and visualizations.- Contributing insights from conclusions of analysis that integrate with the initial hypothesis and business objectives.- Participating in the design of analysis and modeling approach with managers and modelers.Qualifications Required:- Minimum 2 years of BI Analytics development experience, primarily focusing on Microsoft technologies.- Minimum 2 years of Microsoft Power BI experience, including Power BI, Power Pivot, and Power Query.- Good knowledge of RDBMS concepts and design models.- Strong understanding of SQL, T-SQL, DAX, or similar database programming technologies.- Proficiency in advanced DAX calculations.- Data modeling, analysis, design, testing, development, and implementation skills.- Effective communication with both business and technical stakeholders.- Ability to work independently to implement solutions with minimal guidance.- Proficiency in team handling, problem-solving, work ethics, and creativity.- Knowledge of advanced Excel, Office scripts, and Macros is a bonus.Please note the skills required for this role include a strong proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and M languages, experience with data modeling and ETL processes, excellent analytical and communication skills, and comfort working with data from various sources.
