Job Description

*Responsible for a team that develops, applies and maintains quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.As a manager in the technical/process QA division, you will lead a team that designs, installs and evaluates quality control methods and systems. You will also develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods.Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of quality assurance. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards, strategies and procedures. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.This is a hands on management position. The candidate is expected to personally assess the features and design/extend test frameworks of our existing software products, manage test plans, code quality and recommend any necessary redesigns required to keep our products competitive in the marketplace.As Associate Manager in the technical/process QA division, you will lead a team that designs, installs and evaluates quality control methods and systems. You will also develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods.This is an exciting opportunity to lead a domain area with diverse functional element and frequently interact the supervisors and functional peer group leads and managers. The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including strong communication skills, analytical skills and thorough understanding of the complete software development life cycle (SDLC) & Quality AssuranceMajor Responsibilities:Leading, mentoring QA team and taking responsibility of sprint and release commitments, impediment resolution, escalationsInteract with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the product functionality and testing objectivesDesign and develop test strategy & plans to address business and technical use cases.Providing technical leadership to team in terms of analyzing & deciding automation approaches, review the frameworks/test scriptsDetermine the staffing required for the Scrum team to complete assigned tasks. Ensure all assigned personnel receive the training necessary to successfully complete the tasks which are assigned to themAssists QA engineering teams in estimating and planning initiativesMentors and trains QA Engineers to increase overall team technical skillsets and stay current with technology trendsWorks with team and resolves customer issues as per defined service level agreementsExecute, maintain, and reviews the results of existing automated tests, filing issues, and fixing tests as necessary. Create automated tests for new features being developedDevelop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during testing and inspection to access product qualityDuties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgmentPerformance testing of different modules/use cases, analyzing the performance testing results.Scrubs issues in their product area, figuring out steps to reproduce in a test account based on steps to reproduce in a customer accountExperience/Skills: Technical

  • Minimum 10 Y of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Must have strong hands on experience of development/scripting skills in languages like Java, JavaScript, Groovy, C#, .NET or similar
  • Working in agile / Scrum / Kanban environment
  • Good understanding of object oriented programming.
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools like Selenium, WinRunner, QTP, Rational Robot, etc
  • Good Database Skills
  • Must be flexible, independent and self motivated.
  • Strong automation and functional testing experience
  • Exposure to Enterprise Product Lifecycle
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Supply chain Management background Advantage
Lead:
  • Experience leading and mentoring & grooming QA team
  • This role will have people responsibilities
  • Experience of managing teams sprint & release commitments, resolving impediments, interaction with stakeholders and peer scrum teams
  • Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
  • Defects management and handling STLs/escalations.
  • Hands on experience on developing and reviewing test strategy and test plans
  • Ability to independently take decisions and complete ownership
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior people handling experience is an added advantage
Experience in NetSuite and SuiteScript will be an added advantage
