Job Description

    In this role, as a Business Analyst Manager at YouTube, you will play a critical part in delivering on YouTubes mission to show the world and build a community. Your expertise will be essential in upholding the transparency mandate for the YouTube Trust and Safety and crafting a compelling narrative for executives and the outside world.**Key Responsibilities:**- Formulate a practical and high-impact long-term strategy and goals and lead a dedicated analyst team to collaborate closely with operations, product, and engineering across YouTube Trust and Safety.- Measure, analyze, and identify opportunities to enhance operations at scale in a fast-moving environment.- Manage and develop a team of business analysts, supporting them through the creation and implementation of scaled solutions including complex statistical measurements, experimentation and insight platforms, and robust externalized data and reporting pipelines.- Collaborate closely with various cross-functional stakeholders and APAC and EMEA Trust and Safety Operations leadership.**Qualifications Required:**- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.- 9 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role. - 9 years of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL.- 2 years of experience managing a team.**Preferred Qualifications:**- Masters degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.) with experience in Trust and Safety.- Experience in collecting, managing, and synthesizing large data sets and information from disparate sources, statistical modeling, data mining, and data analysis.- Experience scaling and developing an analytics or business intelligence team in a high-growth environment.- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills with strengths in metrics analysis, experiment design, and automation.- Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills with effective attention to detail.In this role, you will operate at two speeds: the strategic, long-term view of how to tell our safety story to the world, and the fast-moving, tactical view of how to drive daily improvements in our operations.
