In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of automation testing frameworks, ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the automation strategy, mentor junior engineers, and integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.What youll Do
• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of automation frameworks using Cypress and TypeScript.
• Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for end-to-end, integration, and regression testing of web applications.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure effective test coverage and high-quality product releases.
• Analyze and debug test failures, providing detailed reports and working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Develop strategies to enhance the scalability, maintainability, and efficiency of the automation testing process.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous testing and rapid feedback in development cycles.
• Mentor and guide junior automation engineers, fostering best practices and knowledge-sharing within the team.
• Drive improvements in test automation coverage, ensuring tests are reliable, efficient, and easy to maintain.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Cypress, TypeScript, and test automation technologies, and advocate for their adoption within the team.
• Ensure compliance with Agile/Scrum practices and actively participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups.
What we are looking for
• 6 years of experience in automation testing, with a focus on web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing.
• Proficiency in TypeScript for writing clean, maintainable test code.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI to integrate automation tests into development workflows.
• Solid understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex test failures.
• Experience working in Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in sprint-based development.
Nice to have
• Experience with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) frameworks like Cucumber.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and strategies.
• Familiarity with other test automation tools, such as Selenium or Playwright.
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Exposure to Cloud-based testing solutions (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
