Job Description

    As an IT Project Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and delivering complex digital projects within our organization. You will be responsible for managing project teams, defining project scopes, and ensuring successful project completion. This role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, resource management, budgeting, and adherence to agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in managing IT and digital projects, with a strong background in delivering agile/lean projects and designing customer-centric digital servicesResponsibilities: Project Ownership and Management: Lead and manage internal project IT programs, allocating tasks, and monitoring team performance Take responsibility for the scope definition, documentation, and successful completion of complex digital projects Identify and secure resources, manage budgets, and select a balanced team made up of internal subject matter experts. technical experts and senior management Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including product owners and business leads, in an agile manner Collaborate with user management and service areas to define delivery roadmaps and confirm acceptance criteria for new/redesigned processes Resource and Financial Management: Manage delegated budgets, contribute to business case development to request funding, and resources in line with organizational processes Provide insights on outcome-based commissioning models and income generation opportunities for value-for-money results Governance and Reporting: Ensure appropriate governance and reporting structures are in place for all projects Align with overarching IT PMO governance, including project and business case review processesRequirements Minimum 5 years experience managing complex IT & Digital projects in fast-paced environments - Experienced in delivering agile/lean projects and designing customer/business-centric digital services Mandatory: Formal project management qualification (e.g., Prince2 Practitioner or APM PMP) - Desirable: Scrum Master certification Business Skills: - Effectively communicates complex information at all levels, demonstrating clear leadership and promoting compliance with r. elevant IT PMO process and governance - Manages and mitigates risk, takes initiative to keep skills up to date, and demonstrates resilience in working to tight deadlines The role may require providing out-of-hours cover for key projects - Will contribute significantly to the IT teams efforts in delivering new applications, infrastructure, and IT-led service improvementsBenefitsThe Successful Candidate will enjoy:- Competitive salary and benefits Excellent learning and development opportunity Great working culture and environment,
