We are looking to hire a Jr. Data Migration Specialist who will be acting as a trusted advisor , ensuring that legacy data is mapped , imported and reported in an effective manner. Responsibilities:Import , clean , transform and validate data Will be primarily responsible for migrating data from other sources into Akkens application database. Data Migrations from other databases / files into MySql Database. Ensure data import quality prior to customer hand - off and build data validation / user acceptance plans for customers to follow during their validation cycle Will also be responsible to validate migrated data by all means available (count of records , data validation etc.) Strong ability to understand customer business problems and how to map historical data to our application to achieve desired outcomes. Required Qualifications : 0 - 3 years of experience in Data Migration. Should have strong technical knowledge in database (preferably MySql). Knowledge of PHP will be an added advantage. Should have knowledge of UNIX / LINUX scripts to initiate batch processes. Should be flexible to work on weekends as all go lives happen over weekends. Ability to multitask and a desire to work in a fast - paced environment. A passion for learning and a willingness for taking on new challenges.,
